DO I WANT PRIDE OR FAITH?
Pride can make us feel bigger than we are, stronger than we are, maybe even invincible; like mythical, somewhat deluded warriors commanding power and a great protective fire in a dark, dangerous night to keep our family and even our friends safe and secure in the warmth, strength, and light of our unreal estimation of our ability to take care of them.
This can be a sweet illusion for males or females; there’s an amazing number of movies and TV shows made these days around these themes; however, just one drop of PURE faith in the creator of the universe will warm and enlighten the whole world and I’ve learned it’s vital, imperative to stay safe and warm by my creators fire that burns in my heart, mind, and soul.
My faith might not be perfect yet but I don’t have to chop down god’s entire forest to keep some unreal, protective fire burning or to have self-respect.
